Now that your day of acknowledgement is over I would like to say to all the mothers out there, you have my condolences, my tears, my joys and my prayers. I can’t imagine raising children in this confused, twisted, destructive, chaotic world.
Oh, I exaggerate do I? Really? Have you listened to the news lately?
We are up to our collective armpits in weeds of cultural lies, media lies, politician lies, and even sadly, sometimes church lies as they buy into all the other lies.
Mothers, if you don’t tell your children truth who will?
Now, I am talking to Christian mothers, the rest of you won’t buy into what I am saying. I pray one day you will.
Christian mothers, to speak truth to your children, you have to know it. You need to know what the Bible is saying, understand it, and be able to apply it to everyday life and explain it to your children. If we don’t know the truth, we won’t be able to discern the lies. Satan is the father of lies and he is after your children.
Mothers, put on the whole armor of God and stand firm in the faith (Ephesians 6:10-11).
If you need help (and don’t we all?) get involved with a Bible study at your church or if there isn’t one find one where they teach from the Bible. If you don’t have a church, check out these websites for a church near you: Acts 29 or The Great Commission Collective Church.
Other resources to help in your mission (raising godly children): Mamabearapologetics.com, MaryKassian.com, Elyse Fitzpatrick’s book: Give Them Grace, paultripp.com. To name a few.
May prayer for you Mamas is:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13).
